And after prototyping a moisture-wicking, formfitting alternative, made of women’s undergarment fabrics, and testing it on ex-teammates, Plank set up shop in his grandmother’s basement and went on to become a serious threat to the giants of the sporting world, from Nike to Adidas.

Yogis around the world worship at the altar of Lululemon which creates sporty components for people who want to live long, healthy and fun lives. Their yoga pants for both sexes are favourites for lovers of athleisure while their yoga mats are well worth their hefty price tag.

Founded in 1933 as La Chemise Lacoste, the crocodile sitting on Lacoste T-shirts came to be because René Lacoste, the company’s founder, was nicknamed “the Crocodile” by fans for his tenacity on the tennis court.
